Fortress Radio is fully registered with both the Performing Rights Society and Phonographic Performance Limited.
Performing Rights Society (PRS)
The PRS pay royalties to their members when their work is performed, broadcast, streamed, downloaded, reproduced, played in public or used in film and TV. They are committed to protecting the value of music and ensuing their members are represented at all levels of the music industry.
Phonographic Performance Limited (PPL)
PPL is the body that licenses radio stations, TV broadcasters and certain digital media services to play recorded music in the UK as part of their programming. They also license music suppliers to copy recorded music for services such as in-store music systems, jukeboxes, compilations for exercise classes and in-flight entertainment systems. The payments which PPL collects from businesses and broadcasters, is passed on to the performers and the recording rightsholders it represents.
Fortress Radio only has a licence to broadcast in the UK. In time, we hope to register licenses to broadcast in other countries.
