Why Fortress Radio?
During the summer of 2019, whilst visiting elderly, housebound Salvationists a recurring theme of 'I cannot get to the Army on a Sunday anymore' and 'I miss listening to some of my favourite Army music' was frequently voiced.
After months of research and planning, the idea of setting up a radio station dedicated to playing Salvation Army melodies was created and Fortress Radio was launched.
Little did we realise with the surge and spread of the Coronavirus pandemic that the mission of Fortress Radio would be so pertinent and relevant in supporting those in a time of need and self-isolation.
